Två hedgefonder ut ur Brummer Multi-Strategy på kort tid – löser in sina andelar i Avenir

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Brummer Multi-Strategy har beslutat att sälja hela innehavet i Avenir. Det skriver Brummer & Partners i ett pressmeddelande från dess ordförande Patrik Brummer och VD Klaus Jäntti och hänvisar till att fondens avkastning under en längre tid inte har levt upp till förväntningarna. Det blir därmed den andra hedgefonden hittills i år som plockas bort från Brummers fond-i-fond-förvaltning – i maj i år meddelade Brummer att man sålt innehavet i fonden Arbor Market Neutral.

Den kvantbaserade aktiehedgefonden Avenirs genomsnittliga årsavkastning sedan fondens start i december år 2000 är 5,7% och den genomsnittliga årliga avkastningen sedan februari 2007 är noll procent.

Under juni månad tappade fonden -2,7% och är därmed ner -3,3% hittills under 2011.

I pressmeddelandet framgår det vidare att Brummer Multi-Strategys allokering till Avenir gradvis har sänkts sedan början av 2010 och fonden är för närvarande klart underviktad.

Inlösen gjordes per den 30 juni 20011. Eftersom Brummer Multi-Strategy var den avsevärt största andelsägaren i Avenir fattade styrelsen i Avenirs fondbolag därför beslutet att under juni månad ”likvidera hela Avenirs portfölj på ett ordnat och ansvarsfullt sätt”.
