Europas första samarbetsgrupp för mindre förvaltare

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), den globala intresseorganisationen för hedgefondförvaltare, har skapat AIMA Smaller Managers’ Group för AIMA:s europeiska hedgefondförvaltare med $ 250 miljoner eller mindre i förvaltat kapital.
“Det är väl dokumenterat att mindre förvaltare i allmänhet har utsatts för stora utmaningar sedan den finansiella krisen”, säger Andrew Baker, AIMA:s VD. “Men mindre förvaltare är en viktig källa till innovation och nya idéer. Även dagens jättar i branschen började i liten skala.”
“De mindre förvaltarna är mycket viktigt att AIMA. Mer än hälften av vår medlemmar globalt har $ 250 miljoner eller mindre i förvaltat kapital. Verkligheten är att alla fondförvaltare, oavsett storlek, behöver ordentlig reglering och marknadens infrastruktur för att frodas. Som den globala branschorganisationen för hedgefonder kommer AIMA fortsätta sträva efter att representera synpunkter från alla förvaltare och branschen som helhet. ”
Gruppen förväntas sammanträda regelbundet för att diskutera frågor av gemensamt intresse, inklusive regulatoriska frågor, sund praxis, due diligence, samarbete med tjänsteleverantörer, och marknadens tryck.
Grundandet av AIMA Smaller Managers’ Group höll sitt första möte tidigare denna månad och har utsett Jim Kandunias, Esemplia Emerging Markets, som dess ordförande.
