Stökig månad för Brummers trendföljande fond – Lynx backade -5,90% i maj

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Maj blev en besvärlig period för Lynx när många trender vände skarpt i början på månaden. Fonden gjorde förluster när priserna på energier och metaller föll markant samtidigt som den amerikanska dollarn stärktes. Även om det var trendmodellerna som stod för de största förlusterna hade också intermarketmodellerna svårt att hitta rätt. Det skriver Lynx Asset Management i fondens senaste månadsrapport.

I och med sjunkande räntor gjordes goda vinster på räntemarknaderna, framför allt i USA i 5- och 10-åriga statsobligationer. Mot slutet av månaden återhämtade sig råvarupriserna något, vilket gynnade fonden.

Nedgången för maj blev 5,90%. Under juni månad har dock fonden gått bättre, +0,70%, men under 2011 är det totalt sett fortfarande negativ avkastning, -3,15%. Lynx har historiskt haft negativ avkastning endast ett år under sin 11 år långa historik, vilket var 2009: -8,52%. Den genomsnittliga årsavkastningen sedan start är +14,75%.
