För 28 miljoner kan du bli ägare till Madoffs lyx-yacht

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu / HegnarOnline, Stian Jacobsen 23/06/11)  Bernard Madoff lurade ett stort antal investerare och sitter nu i fängelse efter en av de största finansiella skandalerna i modern tid. Intet ont anande investerare har förlorat miljarder dollar på Madoffs pyramidspel.

Flera av Madoff-familjens personliga tillhörigheter har auktionerats bort i ett försök att skaffa fram kapital. Omkring 24 miljoner dollar har hittills kunnat frigöras.

Den senaste nyheten är nu att Bernard Madoff 90-fots yacht ”Bull”, som har beskrivits som en av de snabbaste som någonsin byggts, kommer att erbjudas till försäljning i Monaco. Det sammanfaller med att hedgefondbranschen samlas för Gaim-konferensen i samma stad. För cirka 28 miljoner kronor har du nu chansen att bli ägare till Madoffs lyxbåt.

Enligt FT har båten en prislapp på tre miljoner euro, eller ca 28 miljoner. Det är en betydande rabatt på grund av sambandet med Madoff. Priset har dragits ner med cirka 15 miljoner för att påskynda försäljning.

“Bull”, som bara har körts i 350 timmar, har en toppfart på 42 knop. Båten har plats för sex gäster och en separat “ägarhytt”. Båten beslagtogs av amerikanska myndigheter i april 2009.
