Nya hedgefonder från Catella visar 100% positiva månader sedan start

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Den nordiska hedgefondförvaltaren Catella Capital har nyligen lanserat två hedgefonder, Nordic Fixed Income Opportunity Fund och Nordic Long Short Equity Fund. Fonderna lanserades i början av 2011.

 “Den nordiska marknaden erbjuder attraktiva fundamenta och det investeringsbara universet är väl diversifierat, både sektormässigt och i termer av regional exponering” säger Catella. “Nordiska företag representerar investerarvänliga aktier och handlas på säkra och väl utvecklade handelsplatser på öppna och väl reglerade marknader.”

Catellas nordiska Fixed Income Opportunity Fund har redan tagit in 220 miljoner kronor, främst från stiftelser, private banking-kunder, förmögenhetsförvaltning och mindre institutioner. Avkastningen uppgår hittills till +2,8 %.

Catellas Nordic Long Short Equity Fund har hittills fått in 80 miljoner kronor sedan starten. Deras långa innehav inkluderar t.ex. Golar, Trelleborg, Statoil och de korta innehaven bl.a. Northland Resources, SCA och Talvivaara.

Catella förvaltar cirka 1,7 miljarder EUR (15.210 miljoner kronor) fördelat på 19 fonder i mer än 150 olika uppdrag. Sammantaget har Catella introducerat fyra nya nordiska UCITS-III hedgefonder på marknaden, två s.k. Newcits, en long only-fond och en blandfond.

De nya fonderna är godkända att marknadsföras och säljas i Sverige till privata investerare och har redan 15 distributörer. Det placeringsbara universet består främst av aktier noterade på de nordiska börserna. Catella Capital ägs av Catella AB.
