Den 29 April 2011 gifter sig Storbritanniens prins William med Catherine Middleton i Westminster Abbey i London. Det brittiska myntverket, Royal Mint, har präglat bröllopsmynt i flera olika metaller för att uppmärksamma händelsen.

Kungliga myntverkets minnesmynt är de enda officiella brittiska bröllopsmynten – godkända av såväl regering som kungahus. Minnesmynten har präglats med dubbla porträtt, vilket är ovanligt för brittiska mynt. Bröllopsmynten är inte att förväxla med de officiella förlovningsmynten, som offentliggjordes 2010.

Bröllopsmynten har tillverkats i guld, silver och kopparnickel. Guldmynten präglas i maximalt 3 000 exemplar, väger 39,94 gram och har en diameter på 38,61 mm. Silvermynten präglas i max. 50 000 exemplar, väger 28,28 gram och har en diameter på 38,61 mm. Både silver och guldmynten har ett nominellt värde på 5 pund.

Mynten i kopparnickel präglas i max. 250 000 exemplar och ingår bland annat i det brittiska myntverkets presentförpackningar/speciella minnesutgåvor (se bifogad bild).
