SEB får första nordiska “AA”-betyget för hedgefond-i-fond

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Standard & Poor’s har gett betyget “AA” till SEB:s fond “True Market Neutral”. Det är första gången en nordisk hedgefond-i-fond får ett så högt betyg, vilket visar att SEB:s satsning på att möta kundernas efterfrågan på sparande och investeringsmöjligheter med hög kvalitet ger resultat.

– En kvalitetsstämpel för SEB:s fond som visat en stabil avkastning för kunden oavsett hur aktiemarknaden utvecklats, säger Mikael Spångberg, chef för SEB:s Alternative Investment Team.

Kreditvärderingsinstitutet Standard & Poor’s konstaterar i sin rapport att SEB “är väl värt beröm för sin ytterst disciplinerade tillämpning av processen som bevisas av att fonden nått sina mål rakt igenom, också under perioder då den övervägande majoriteten av fond-i-fonder kommit till korta. Till exempel gav fonden 3 procent i avkastning under 2008 och har sedan fortsatt ge positiv avkastning varje år”.

Fonden, som vänder sig till institutionella investerare, har som investeringsmål att ge en årlig avkastning på 3-4 procent över riskfri ränta med en volatilitet på 3-5 procent utan korrelation till aktiemarknaden.

Förutom det nya betyget till SEB:s True Market Fund så har Standard & Poor’s tidigare gett betyget “AA” till SEB Asset Selection och SEB Dynamic Manager Alpha.
