Lönnerstam began his career at SEB in 1989, where he spent 16 and a half years in various roles.

“This is an important step toward launching and growing our fund Truepenny Global Macro.”

“We are very happy and excited to welcome Thomas Lönnerstam to Truepenny Capital Management as CEO and partner,” expressed the team at Truepenny Capital Management. “This is an important step toward launching and growing our fund Truepenny Global Macro.” After a career spanning over 20 years as a quant researcher and portfolio manager at leading banks and hedge funds, Thomas Orbert founded Truepenny Capital Management in 2020. These strategies include fully systematic proprietary asset allocation, relative value strategies, and model-based macro strategies focused on inflation risks. The fund is scheduled to launch in the autumn of 2023.

Additionally, Truepenny Capital Management has hired Jonas Davis as a summer analyst focusing on monetary and liquidity research. “Super happy to welcome Jonas Davis as a summer analyst. Looking forward to working with you,” Truepenny announces on LinkedIn. “Truepenny is an early-stage hedge fund, currently operating in Stockholm, Sweden, and I look forward to continuing my work abroad,” comments Davis, a student at Vassar College in New York.
