Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Karita Meling, Elo’s former Head of Private Equity, is joining Finnish fundraising advisory Coda Alternatives as Senior Advisor. She served as Elo’s Head of Private Equity since Elo was born from the merger of Pension Fennia and LocalTapiola in 2014 through the end of 2022.

“I intended to take a break from business, but the new year has brought some exciting board and advisory roles,” says Karita Meling on LinkedIn. “Being Senior Advisor at Coda Alternatives was difficult to pass.” Before Elo’s formation in 2014, Meling worked at Tapiola Pension for about 12 years, first as head of direct equity investments and then as head of real estate and private equity investments. She also worked in equity research for about seven years at Handelsbanken Capital Markets.

“Being Senior Advisor at Coda Alternatives was difficult to pass.”

“Karita Meling joins Coda Alternatives as Senior Advisor strengthening Coda’s strategic private market expertise and global manager network,” announces Coda Alternatives, a Helsinki-based fundraising advisory focused on alternative asset classes. The firm focuses on helping private market managers enhance their presence in the Nordic region by connecting them with local institutional investors and family offices.

“I am absolutely delighted to have somebody like Karita on board,” comments Kimmo Eloranta, the founder of Coda Alternatives. “I believe her unique private market experience and global contact network will help Coda to serve the market even better,” he continues. “It has been great to notice that we share the same values and approach, clearly focusing on partnering with top-quality managers.”
