Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Brummer & Partners is strengthening its partnership structure with four new partners. Carl-Johan Brodowsky, one of the four new partners, has returned to Brummer & Partners after four years at Keel Capital. Two partners, Kent Janér and Per Josefsson, are leaving the firm. “As Brummer Multi-Strategy (BMS) continues to grow globally, the group further strengthens its partnership structure with four new partners,” writes Brummer & Partners in a press release.

Jonas Börjesson, Carl-Johan Brodowsky, Markus Wiklund and Henrik Paulsson have become the new partners at Brummer & Partners. Börjesson joined the Swedish hedge fund manager in 2008 and has been Head of Investor Relations since 2012, while Brodowsky has returned to the firm after four years at Keel Capital, which runs long/short equity fund Foghorn. Jonas Börjesson and Carl-Johan Brodowsky will now share responsibility for Investor Relations globally.

Markus Wiklund and Henrik Paulsson are heading the firm’s infrastructure and daily operations. Wiklund, Deputy CEO of Brummer Multi-Strategy, has been with the firm since 1997 in various positions, including being responsible for risk analysis and portfolio construction. Paulsson, meanwhile, joined Brummer & Partners from Nasdaq OMX in 2010. He is the CEO of B & P Fund Services and is responsible for developing the in-house infrastructure comprised of 90 professionals serving the group’s fund managers.

“Our task is and always will be to generate competitive risk-adjusted returns over time,” says Patrik Brummer, founder and Chairman of Brummer & Partners. “Brummer Multi-Strategy lies at the centre of our asset management activities; as the strategy evolves and improves, its complexity also increases. I am therefore pleased to welcome four new partners,” Brummer comments on the appointment of the four new partners.

Brummer Multi-Strategy is a multi-strategy fund investing in the single-strategy hedge funds under the umbrella of Brummer & Partners. The fund currently invests in nine underlying hedge fund strategies. According to a press release, the team running the multi-strategy vehicle plans to add two new sector specialist long/short equity strategies during the autumn. The funds are currently in the process of receiving regulatory approval.

Two partners, Kent Janér and Per Josefsson, are leaving Brummer & Partners. “We would also like to thank our two outgoing partners, Kent Janér and Per Josefsson, who for many years have made valuable contributions to Brummer & Partners,” Patrik Brummer comments on the departure of the two partners. “They are no longer as active in the firm’s core business and the shift is a natural one.”
