CB Fonder avvecklar CB Hedge

Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – CB Fonder har valt att avveckla sin lång/kort aktiehedgefond CB Hedge. Anledningen är enligt bolaget att fonden ej levt upp till deras målsättning samt ett mer omfattande och kostsamt regelverk för fonden. Samtliga kostnader för avvecklingen av fonden tas av CB Asset Management AB. Framåtblickande kommer all fokus att läggas på long-only fonderna CB European Quality Fund och CB Save Earth Fund enligt ett pressmeddelande. I en kommentar säger Alexander Jansson, VD och förvaltare:

“Vi har tagit beslutet att avveckla fonden med våra investerares bästa för ögonen. Först och främst har inte avkastningen motsvarat våra förväntningar och därtill kommer nya regelverk för den här typen av fonder att innebära ökade kostnader, vilket vi inte anser möjligt att motivera mot bakgrund av fondens historik. Vi kan bara beklaga utgången, men vi är övertygade om att det här är ett långsiktigt klokt beslut. Framöver kommer vi att ha 100% fokus på vår long-only förvaltning; vår kompetens ligger i grund och botten inom long-only och det har återigen visat sig svårt att kombinera det med lång/kort förvaltning”.

CB Fonders målsättning är att fonden likvideras per den sista mars med utbetalning av likvid den 9 april.
