Indecap to Bin Long/Short Fund

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Indecap Fonder’s long/short equity fund, Guide Avkastningsfond, will merge into one of the asset manager’s funds at the end of February. Guide Avkastningsfond has generated a cumulative loss of 4.3 percent since the fund started employing a long/short equity strategy in mid-December 2018. The fund had previously operated as a fund of funds.

“Indecap Guide Företagsobligationsfond and Indecap Guide Avkastningsfond will be merged,” writes Indecap Fonder. The long/short equity fund, Guide Avkastningsfond, will be merged into Indecap Guide Företagsobligationsfond, an actively managed fixed-income fund mainly focused on corporate bonds. The merger will take place on February 28, 2022.

Guide Avkastningsfond, which currently oversees SEK 88.4 million in assets under management, has been employing a long/short equity strategy since mid-December 2018. The fund takes long positions in equities and equity-related instruments, hedging the long exposure with corresponding short positions against the OMX 30. The fund edged down 1.2 percent in 2021 after booking a loss of 2.0 percent in 2020 and 4.1 percent in 2019.
