Nordic managers fell short at InvestHedge Awards

Powering Hedge Funds

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – The InvestHedge awards, recognizing performance excellence among hedge fund managers globally, was held in London yesterday.

Among the nominated were two Nordic funds; Merrant Alpha Select and SEB True Market Neutral, both nominated in the category “arbitrage” over 1 year. Merrant was also nominated in the category “arbitrage, distressed & credit” over 5 years.

None of the Nordic participants managed to win. Instead the price for best arbitrage fund over 1 year went to Falcon MM Relative Value Fund. In the arbitrage, distressed & credit over 5 years, Corbin Opportunity Fund was announced as winner.

The big winner of the evening was Morgan Stanley AIP, scoring a hat trick by winning three categories including the prestigious “Group of the Year” award.

The complete list of winners is to be found here.
