Hedgefondsveteranen tror åldrande kan skapa stora kris

Göteborg (FinWire) – Miljardären Stan Druckenmiller, som är en legendarisk hedgefondsaktör, är pessimistisk kring USA:s framtid och ser stora problem om 15 år. Orsaken är att befolkningen blir äldre och äldre.

“Ungdomarna kommer inte att tala om att skära ned”, säger han.

Stan Druckenmiller, som själv är 61 år, menar att kostnaderna för lösningar som socialförsäkringssystemet, Medicare och Medicaid kommer att göra landets unga finansiellt går under och skapar en kris klart värre än finanskrisen från 2008.

Stan Druckenmiller har varit med i många år och bland annat varit chefsstrateg hos George Soros. Sin egna hedgefond stängde han ned 2010 även om fonden var framgångsrik. Under perioden 1986-2010 redovisade fonden en genomsnittlig årsavkastning på 30 procent vilket är bland de bästa track recorden i branschen, skriver nyhetsbyrån Bloomberg.

Han bedömer vidare att räntan i USA kan komma att kvarstå nära noll procent de närmaste tio åren.
