Stor optimism bland hedgefondförvaltare

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – En global undersökning beställd av State Street som 235 hedgefonder besvarat visar på en stark tro på framtiden i branschen. 55 procent av de som ingick i undersökningen förväntar sig att pensionsfonder kommer att öka sina innehav i hedgefonder under den kommande femårsperioden. Majoriteten tror att det är avkastningsutmaningar som framförallt driver pensionsförvaltare till hedgefonder. Även diversifiering och förbättrade villkor från hedgefonder bedöms bidra till utvecklingen.

Nio av tio av personerna i undersökningen bedömde att hedgefonder behöver bli bättre på att aktivt visa sitt värde för potentiella investerare. 29 procent bedömde att Basel III kommer att signifikant påverka det egna företagets finansieringskostnader medan 42 procent inte trodde att det kommer att ha någon stor påverkan.
