Standard & Poor’s bekräftade Australiens kreditbetyg AAA

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Kreditvärderingsinstitutet Standard & Poor’s bekräftade på onsdagen Australiens kreditbetyg AAA/A-1, med stabila utsikter.

S&P hänvisar till landets stabilitet, politiska flexibilitet och ekonomiska motståndskraft.

Enligt Kyran Curry, analytiker på S&P, har Australien förmågan att absorbera stora ekonomiska och finansiella chocker, även om landets styrka dämpas av beroendet av råvaruexport, externa obalanser och höga skulder bland hushållen.

Han skriver att landets ekonomi utvecklats relativt väl under det senaste året, men att avsevärda risker kvarstår för den australiska ekonomins
tillväxtutsikter, välstånd och kreditkvalitet, bland dem beroendet av handeln med Kina. Om Kinas efterfrågan på råvaror försvagas skulle det kunna leda till “oordnad oreda” i den australiska ekonomin, inklusive på arbets- och fastighetsmarknaderna.
