ECB kan köpa treåriga obligationer

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) ECB-chefen Mario Draghi sade inför i Europaparlamentet på måndagen att han är komfortabel med att köpa obligationer med löptider upp till ungefär tre år.

Det sade Jean-Paul Gauzes, ledamot i Europaparlamentet, till journalister på måndagen, rapporterar Bloomberg News.

Mario Draghi ska vid mötet ha sagt att köp av korta obligationer inte innebär statsfinansiering.

“Han menar att det inte bryter mot fördraget och att det går att genomföra inom nuvarande legala ramverk. Han sade till exempel att tre år är okej, men inte 15 år”, sade Jean-Paul Gauzes.

Sven Giegold, en annan ledamot av Europaparlamentet som hörde Mario Draghi, sade att hans intryck var att ECB åter kommer att intervenera på obligationsmarknaderna för att bekämpa krisen.

“Jag antar att det efter detta möte kommer det att fortsatt bli interventioner på andrahandsmarknaden”, sade han.

Enligt Sven Giegold ska Mario Draghi också ha sagt att han motsätter sig att den permanenta stödfonden ESM får en banklicens eftersom det skulle innebär monetär finansiering av stater.
