Eufori bland hedgefonder inom Emerging markets

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Hedgefonder i länder inom Emerging Markets rapporterar den starkaste starten på ett kalenderår sedan 2006 och där HFRI Emerging Markets Index är bäst i klassen med en uppgång på +7,3% i 1Q12, enligt den senaste HFR Emerging Markets Industry Report.

Totalt kapital investerat i hedgefonder inom Emerging Markets steg till rekordnivån 127,3 miljarder USD till och med utgången av 1:a kvartalet 2012. Detta var en uppgång med närmare 10 miljarder USD sedan slutet av 2011 och överträffade det tidigare rekordet på tillgångar under förvaltning på 123 miljarder USD som sattes under andra kvartalet 2011.

Ökningen av kapital var främst drivet av positiv utveckling i fonderna, medan nettoinsättningar från investerare fortfarande är på låga nivåer. Fonderna som rapporterade inflöden summerade dessa till 3,1 miljarder USD medan övriga rapporterade utflöden på 3,4 miljarder USD, vilket resulterade i ett modest nettoutflöde på 365 miljoner USD under första kvartalet 2012. Nytt kapitalinflöde koncentrerades till regionerna ”Emerging Asia” och Ryssland/Östeuropa, vilka erhöll 500 miljoner USD i nettoinsättningar tillsammans.
