STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Hittills har Mitt Romney och Rick Santorum vunnit tre
delstater var av de tio delstater som stod på spel under tisdagens primärval och provval (“caucus”), enligt New York Times och AP.

Rösterna håller fortfarande på att räknas i flera delstater under det som brukar kallas “Supertisdagen”.

På tisdagen stod 437 delegater på spel. Totalt behövs minst 1.144 delegater för att vinna nomineringen till att bli republikanernas kandidat i presidentvalet den 6 november.

Mitt Romney har vunnit delstaterna Virginia, Vermont och Massachusetts, medan hans främste utmanare Rick Santorum har vunnit Tennessee, Oklahoma och North Dakota. Newt Gingrich har vunnit delstaten Georgia.

Resultatet är ännu osäkert i den viktiga delstaten Ohio (66 delegater), som anses vara ett bra lackmustest för “valbarheten” då delstaten ofta brukar rösta som landet som helhet vid presidentvalen. Rick Santorum och Mitt Romney har cirka 37 procent var när 85 procent av rösterna är räknade.

Något preliminärt resultat är heller ännu inte klart i delstaterna Alaska och Idaho.

Även i Wyoming, där omröstningen skedde den 29 februari men där utgången
tillkännages nu, är resultat ännu inte klart.
