Alternativa UCITS-fonder steg i januari

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Efter att ha tappat 3,64% under 2011 har alternativa UCITS-fonder haft en bra start på det nya året med en uppgång på 1,37%, det rapporterar Hedgeweek. Det noterades breda uppgångar och inom alla strategier, där Emerging Markets visade den största uppgången med 4,04%. En välkommen förändring efter att det segmentet tappade över 10% i värde under 2011. Andra strategier som gick framåt var bland annat Macro (1,7%) och Long/Short Equity (1,69%). CTA-strategier lyckades inte lika väl men var fortfarande upp med 0,23%.

Ett nytt index introducerat av Alix Capital i january i år, som mäter volatilitet, var i princip oförändrat och steg 0,02%.

Per den sista januari 2012 bestod UCITS Alternative Index av fler än 820 hedgefonder och fond-i-fonder. Totalt kapital under förvaltat inom alternativa UCITS-fonder steg till 116 miljarder Euro, enligt Alix Capital.
