 Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Barnmisshandel och vanvård är ett dolt problem, som oftast sker bakom hemmets stängda dörrar. Det förekommer inom alla socioekonomiska, religiösa och etniska grupper. Och det är inte ett ämne som folk vill diskutera. Av den anledningen är det ofta ett missförstått ämne. Vad bättre fråga för hedgefondbranschen att anamma?

Hedge Funds Care är en internationell välgörenhetsorganisation, som till största delen stöds av hedgefondsektorn, vars enda uppgift är att förebygga och behandla offer för barnmisshandel. Den har två mål:

• Att ta in så mycket pengar som möjligt för att finansiera de program som utför det förebyggande arbetet samt behandling.

• Att visa upp det arbete med välgörenhet som görs inom hedgefondsektorn.

Detta uppdrag sker genom att samla in pengar och ge det till barnrättsorganisationer i hela USA, Kanada, Caymanöarna, och Storbritannien. Hedge Funds Care är den enda offentliga välgörenhetsorganisation som fokuserar enbart på att finansiera detta område. Sedan starten 1998 har Hedge Funds Care delat ut mer än 800 anslag på totalt mer än 29 miljoner USD.
