USA: GEITHNER KVAR SOM FINANSMINISTER

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) USA:s finansminister avser att stanna på sin post åtminstone till presidentvalet i november 2012.

Det rapporterade Bloomberg News på söndagskvällen och hänvisade till en icke namngiven administrationsföreträdare.

Vita Huset bekräftade senare att finansministern avser att fortsätta på sin post.

“Presidenten bad minister Geithner att stanna kvar på finansdepartementet och välkomnar hans beslut”, sade Vita Husets pressekreterare Jay Carney i ett uttalande.
