PORTUGAL: MOODYS SÄNKER KREDITBETYG TILL BA2 NEG UTSIKTER

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Moody’s sänker Portugals kreditbetyg fyra steg till Ba2 från Baa1 med negativa utsikter.

Det rapporterar Bloomberg News.

Nivån Ba2 motsvarar “skräpstatus”.

Enligt Moody’s återspeglar det sänkta kreditbetyget den ökande risken att Portugal kommer att behöva ett andra stödpaket innan landet kan återvända till den öppna marknaden för finansiering. Moody’s ser en ökande sannolikhet att den privata sektorns deltagande kommer att vara ett krav för ett stödpaket till landet.

Vidare växer farhågorna att Portugal inte kommer att nå upp till de mål för att minska underskottet i offentlig sektor och de skuldstabiliseringsmål som satts upp i landets låneavtal med EU och IMF.

Moody’s skriver att landet står inför väldiga utmaningar för att minska de offentliga utgifterna, öka efterlevnaden av skattelagstiftningen och öka den ekonomiska tillväxten
