Based in Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Stockholm, the Nordea Fund & Manager Selection team includes 21 investment professionals dedicated to selecting and monitoring equity, fixed income and alternative investment managers. The team oversees approximately EUR 25 billion in client asset under management.
Before joining Nordea in 2006, Jauri was Chief Investment Officer at Kaupthing Asset Management in the bank’s Finnish subsidiary, responsible for multi-manager investments. He joined Kaupthing Sofi in 1998 from EFG Private Bank (IBP). Prior to that, he has had senior roles at Pohjola (Arctos) and Alfred Berg Asset Management.
Jauri holds a M.Sc. (Econ.) degree from Svenska Handelshögskolan in Helsinki. He is also a certified EFFAS Financial Analyst (CEFA), member of the Finnish Society of Financial Analysts and a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Fund Investors (APFI).

Wollert Hvide, born 1961, is CEO of Sector Asset Management AS. Until 2011 he was investment manager of Sector Omega AS. He has 18 years experience from air transportation, management consulting and the shipping industry. He co-founded Sector Asset Management in 1999 from a position as Deputy Managing Director of R.S. Platou Shipbrokers (joined in 1990) where he was responsible for strategic advisory of R.S. Platou’s prime customers with respect to market strategies. In 1987 Mr Hvide joined McKinsey & Co on their Fellowship Program, which included an MBA at INSEAD (distinction).
During his period with McKinsey & Co. Mr. Hvide worked on strategic and operational issues for leading Scandinavian companies including several shipping studies. Mr Hvide holds an MSc in naval architecture and marine engineering from the Norwegian School of Technology (1984).

Julia Axelsson is head of manager selection and a member of the asset allocation team at the Swedish branch of Alandsbanken. She is responsible for sourcing investment ideas through analyzing a broad range of externally managed products, including both long-only and alternative strategies. She is co-managing several of Alandsbanken’s discretionary balanced mandates and funds.
Julia has more than ten years of investment experience managing balanced portfolios and fund-of-funds, previously at Kaupthing Bank and Nordea Investment Management. She holds a Master’s degree from Sofia University and has completed further studies at Stockholm University and Stockholm School of Economics. Julia is a Chartered alternative investments analyst (CAIASM).

At Danske Markets he has previously worked with derivatives sales. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Portfolio Manager with Danmarks Nationalbank (the Danish central bank).

Kathryn M. Kaminski, PhD, is a visiting professor in industrial engineering and management at KTH, affili- ated faculty at the Stockholm School of Economics, and a senior lecturer at MIT Sloan. Kathryn earned her PhD at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Her areas of research include: portfolio management, asset allocation, behavioral finance, and alternative investments. Kathryn lectures on derivatives, hedge funds, behavioral finance, and financial management.
In 2011/2012, she was voted Teacher of the Year at SSE as well as being a 100 Women in Hedge Funds, CAIA Scholar. Previously, Kathryn was the CIO and Founder of Alpha K Capital LLC. Kathryn was also a Senior Investment Analyst at RPM, a fund of hedge funds in Managed Futures. She also has quant experience in both emerging fixed-income and credit markets.
Kathryn is a featured contributor for the CME Market Education Group. Kathryn currently serves as an advisor for two hedge funds including Flyberry Capital, a newly launched Big-Data MIT/Harvard based hedge fund.

Magnus Dahlquist

Magnus Dahlquist is the Peter Wallenberg Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) and a Research Fellow at the Institute for Financial Research (SIFR) in Stockholm. Dahlquist is also a Research Fellow with the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), London, and with the Network for Studies on Pensions, Aging and Retirement (NETSPAR) in the Netherlands.
Dahlquist obtained his doctoral degree in 1995 at the Institute for International Economic Studies, Stockholm University. He joined the Stockholm School of Economics in 1996 and served on the faculty of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University between 1998 and 2002. Dahlquist was the Director of SIFR between 2003 and 2008.
Dahlquist’s research interests lie in the fields of asset pricing and international finance. His current research focuses on (i) risks and returns in global equity markets, (ii) information and incentives as determinants of the portfolio choice of individual and institutional investors, (iii) the behavior and determination of exchange rates and interest rates, and (iv) performance evaluation and practical problems related to portfolio selection.
He has taught courses on debt instruments and markets, investment management, global financial markets, and international business in Master of Science, MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD programs at Duke University, London Business School, Stockholm School of Economics, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dahlquist has served on the board of and been the advisor to several financial institutions as well as government authorities.

Thomas Bergstrom, CAIA, is a senior portfolio manager and a member of the Nordea Alternative & Manager selection team within the investment management branch of the Nordea Bank. He manages and co-manages several hedge fund portfolios covering all client segments and has been managing hedge fund portfolios since early 2008.
He invests in and covers all strategies including both discretionary and systematic across all asset classes. He was part of the team setting up the fund of hedge funds business and was in charge of the risk m
anagement and was conducting due diligence and manager research. Earlier he was the risk manager of equity based hedge fund strategies in the bank, involved in portfolio construction, risk management and quantitative support for both directional and market neutral portfolios.
Thomas has nine years of hedge fund experience and a total of thirteen years of industry experience including quantitative research and risk management for traditional asset classes. He holds a masters in Finance / Economics from the University of Stockholm

Yngve T. Jordal is a Partner in Pareto Nordic Investments AS, an Oslo-based firm managing hedge funds and Nordic equity and fixed income long mandates.
He currently heads marketing and risk management for Nordic Alpha and Nordic Omega, two Long/Short equity funds.
He has managed a multistrategy fund of hedge funds from 2005 until 2010, and also developed and raised capital for a number of other hedge fund products in the firm under its previous name Orkla Finans Kapitalforvaltning.
Prior to joining the firm, Yngve worked in Equities for Fortis Investments in Paris, and started his career in 2001 as an Equities Fund Manager trainee with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in London, following and internship with Mercury Asset Management in 2000.
He holds an MA Honours degree in Business, French and German from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.

Lars Lövgren

Lars Lövgren has worked in the financial markets since graduating in economics from Uppsala University in 1984. After university he joined a finance company, Finansor, where he worked with business development and corporate sales. In 1986 he moved on to Götabanken, involved in fixed income sales and trading. His responsibilities were gradually extended and in 1990 he was appointed head of the Fixed Income department. 1994 Lars was appointed head of trading and deputy General Manager at Nordbanken’s (today Nordea) office in Hong Kong.
The following year he joined Skandia Insurance Company Ltd in Stockholm as Head of its treasury vehicle Skandia Capital AB, in 1999 Lövgren was appointed Group Treasurer at Skandia, a post that he held until Oct 2001. After that he joined the hedge fund industry, he became the CEO of a jointly Skandia/DNB owned hedge fund start-up company. Lars today holds the position as Head of Hedge Funds in DNB Asset Management, it includes responsibility for external hedge fund investments through fund of hedgefunds and the overall responsibility for hedgefunds managed internally.
