STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Spaniens banker måste avsätta 53,8 miljarder euro för att klara nya regler för fastigheter.

Det skrev Spaniens centralbank i ett uttalande på onsdagskvällen.

Tidigare beräkningar från regeringen kom fram till att avsättningar på 52 miljarder euro måste göras. I februari införde den spanska regeringen nya regler som tvingar bankerna att ta större förluster på fastigheter i sina balansräkningar.

Centralbanken skriver att de flesta kreditinstitutioner har eller kommer att införa de nya reglerna utan större svårigheter. I vissa fall kan det bli “mer utmanande”, men kraven kommer troligen att nås. För dessa institutioner kommer centralbanken att “skärpa övervakningen”.
