BNP Paribas Appoints Struan Malcom to Lead Nordic Institutional Investor Coverage

Powering Hedge Funds

BNP Paribas has announced the appointment of Struan Malcom to lead Sales and Client Coverage for Institutional Investors across the Nordic region. Malcom most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at the fund selection platform Fundrella, following more than a decade as Head of Nordic Sales within Northern Trust’s Asset Servicing business.

“I’m excited and energised to be joining BNP Paribas to develop and grow its’ Nordic business,” announces Malcom. Based in Stockholm, he will be responsible for sales and relationship management within Securities Services across all institutional client segments in the region, including asset owners, asset managers, alternative investors and sovereign wealth funds. Malcom will join the Nordic Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Executive Committee, reporting locally to Eirik Winter, CEO Nordic Region and CEO CIB Nordic Region.

Malcom joins BNP Paribas on January 15, bringing more than 30 years of experience across asset servicing and asset management. His previous roles include Deputy Head of Operations at Northern Trust Asset Management, Director of Transition Management at ABN AMRO, and Regional Head of Nordic Sales at Northern Trust, a position he held for more than a decade in Stockholm. Most recently, he was Partner and COO at a Stockholm-based fintech that focuses on enhancing digital collaboration between fund selectors and asset managers.
