During his time in private practice, he advised Norwegian and international banks, investment firms, fund managers and insurers on regulatory and compliance matters. He also worked extensively with merger & acquisition and capital market transactions within the financial services and asset management industries, as well as worked with fund establishments on behalf of managers and sponsors. Before joining Wikborg Rein, Bøen worked at Allen & Overy, where he was seconded into the firm’s corporate practice.

The legal and compliance department at Sector Asset management has two main functions: acting as Group General Counsel, covering all areas of law and related commercial aspects, and handling all compliance-related matters for the group. Sector Asset Management’s business model involves partnering with independent investment teams by supporting them with operational, legal and compliance infrastructure. Three members of the Nordic Hedge Index – Incentive Active Value Fund, Sector Healthcare Fund, and Sector Zen Fund – currently operate under the Sector umbrella. Sector Asset Management has $2.65 billion under management across its entire fund range.
