Chad Martinson

Chad is the Co-CIO and the Managing Director of Investments at Efficient Capital Management, LLC. In this role, he manages the firm’s investment process, serves as the Portfolio Manager, and helps shape strategic priorities as a member of the Leadership Team. Chad joined Efficient Capital Management in 2002 after nearly a decade in the technology industry, serving as the firm’s Chief Technology Officer. After leading the development process to build out Efficient’s proprietary managed futures platform, he joined the investment team in 2005 and has served as the Portfolio Manager since the end of 2007. He currently directs the investment of more than $2.5 billion in nominal assets across Efficient’s suite of investment products. Chad graduated from Taylor University in 1994 with a BA in Chemistry/Pre-med. He holds a Series 3 license and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charter Holder.

Joel Handy
(Moderator)

Joel is the Director of Business Development at Efficient. His focus is on North American institutional sales and marketing, helping to manage relationships with consultants, pensions, endowments, foundations and family offices in the USA and Canada. He has written a number of white papers and articles, is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charter Holder, has a Series 3, and has been in the industry since 2008.
