Flygande start för nystartad trendfond

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Leda Braga, f.d. förvaltare på BlueCrest Capital Management, startade eget per den 1 januari i år. Och vilken start sen – första månaden av handel under eget namn renderade i en uppgång på 9,5% under januari.

Den 48-åriga Leda Braga, född i Brasilien och med en civilingenjörsexamen och doktorstitel från Imperial College i London, ledde framgångsrikt två fonder – BlueTrend och BlueMatrix – inom BlueCrest under 10 års tid och tog med sig dessa in i det nya egna bolaget Systematica, med bas i Geneve. Och starten kunde som sagt inte ha blivit bättre.

Tillväxten i kapital under förvaltning har varit starkt och Braga är nu den kvinna som förvaltar störst kapital, med sina totalt 9 mdr USD i de båda fonderna inom Systematica.

Braga har ett gediget trackrecord med sin fond BlueTrend, som sedan starten 2004 har givit en genomsnittlig årsavkastning på 11,8%, jämfört med S&P 500 som når upp till 8% under samma period. Under 2008 steg hennes fond med hela 43% – i likhet med svenska Lynx f.ö. – och var därmed bland de bästa förvaltningsresultaten det året.

Kostnaden för förvaltningen uppgår till 1,5% i fast avgift och 20% performance-fee.
