Oförändrat för SEB Asset Selection i april

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Managed Futures-fonder är typiskt sett aktiva traders. Det är inte ovanligt att en större fond, som till exempel Man AHL, genererar 1000 eller fler köp- eller säljsignaler per dag. Att då avkasta exakt 0,00% under en månad kan framstå som något märkligt vid ett första ögonkast. Ändå är det exakt vad SEBs fond Asset Selection gjorde under april månad.

Fonden tjänade pengar (i procent) på fixed income (+1.1%), men förlorade pengar på aktier (‐0.6%), valutor (‐0.3%) och råvaror (‐0.1%). Andra faktorer gav 0.0%. I termer av portföljrisk var den faktiska volatiliteten under de senaste 30 dagarna 4.8% jämfört med volatilitetsmålet på 5%.

Fonden, som förvaltas av teamet kring Hans-Olov Borneman inom SEB Global Quant Team, står nu på -3,77% för innevarande år, jämfört med Barclay CTA Index som är i princip oförändrat för året. Tillgångar under förvaltning är ungefär 1,2 miljarder Euro efter att ha uppgått till 1,5 miljarder i Q3 2011.

Vid månadens utgång såg portföljens volatilitet (i procent) ut som följer: medelstort riskbidrag från fixed income (6.4%), mindre riskbidrag från aktier (2.6%), valutapositioner (1.6%) och råvaror (0.4%). Bidrag till följd av diversifiering inom portföljen reducerade den förväntade risken med 6.1%.

Sedan starten i oktober 2006 har fonden gett en avkastning på 6% per år till en volatilitet om 10%.
