Man Group utökar CTA-team i Hong Kong

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Globala hedgefondgiganten Man Group plc har utökat sin AHL division – Man’s förvaltare av kvantitativa modeller inom managed futures – i Hong Kong till elva från tidigare fem förvaltare, vilket gör den till en av de första och största CTA-fond att skapa en fristående tradingverksamhet i Hong Kong.

Den nya tradingenheten i Hongkong täcker 49 asiatiska marknader, med en omsättning på ungefär 4 miljarder dollar om dagen. Man har också ytterligare tre kontor i Asien – i Singapore, Tokyo och Sydney – och i maj 2011 stod Asien och Stillahavsområdet för 25 procent av försäljningen i Man Groups fonder under förvaltning globalt.

“Hong Kong är en fantastisk bas för vår verksamhet i Asien och denna expansion kommer att hjälpa oss att ge den allra bästa tradingen och riskhanteringen för kunder i regionen”, säger Tim Wong, VD för AHL-divisionen inom Man Group. “Vi har ett stort nätverk över hela kontinenten och vi kommer att fortsätta att bygga relationer och utforska nya trading-idéer genom lokala talanger.”

Tradingteamet stöds numera av lokala portföljanalytiker och systemutvecklare, inklusive infrastruktur och specialister inom operations. AHLs kontor i Asien kommer att täcka hela den asiatiska börshandeln, med en överlämning till ett team i London vid den europeiska börsöppningen.
